As a 51 year old, I feel fierce, creative, it is the feral 50’s . I work in social services with our houseless community for 30 years.

I love how everything feels more freeing. I always joke that I’m in my feral 50s because I’m doing stuff for me now. And I know who I am. I feel like I can embrace my own definition of beauty while also exploring and creating the space I want to be in. In my late 40s I had several huge losses, it made me to realize life is too short to not be happy. I love that in my 50s I feel like I can show younger folx that aging isn’t scary
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous, through a good beauty regime, H20, doing self care. Being creative , exploring the world around me and staying curious. I still go dancing, live music but I also enjoy working in my garden. I am that Silly 51 year-old. that has glitter painted eyes to a meeting of coworkers and city leaders. I’m fabulous because I’m confident in who I am, but I’m also exploring who I could be.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would take a vacation and pay off my car and other miscellaneous debt. In 2020 I asked my husband of 17 years to move out, In 2021 my dad dad died of Covid, and I started a new career. I haven’t had a real vacation in over 15 years and I work with houseless community in crisis. With the stress of my work and the loss of the past few years taking an actual vacation would be a dream. I would go to Belize or Hawaii.
