I'm a 54 yr old former opera singer who started aerial arts after 40. I now teach & perform, and manage sales for a wine importer by day.

I love the fact that I care less about what people think of me than I did in my 30s, to be honest. I feel like I'm finally back to chasing the ideals and aesthetics that I was in my 20s, which were things that made me unique and more free to be my full self. I speak my mind more and try to advocate for women supporting each other, especially for those entering perimenopause or going through menopause, like I am now.
How do you stay fabulous?I teach circus to children and adults, and stay fit by training aerial arts and hand balancing, weight training, and swimming laps (one of the only ways you'll get me to do cardio!! :) I try to keep a positive, yet realistic attitude towards life, which includes working on my own mental health pretty much every day. I also make sure to treat myself kindly by eating well, taking care of my skin, body & mind, and drinking a lot of water. But also remembering to loosen up every once in a while.
What would you do with the $40,000?Honestly, I would very much like to use much of it as a down payment on a first home. As a working artist in NYC (even with another job) , it has always been difficult to save for buying a home anywhere with the cost of living in the United States today. This would help tremendously with that. I would also donate some to LGBTQ+ and women's health causes that are very important to me such as Callen Lorde, and Planned Parenthood.
