What do you love about being over 40?

What I love about being over 40 is having the understanding and knowledge that I have gathered over the years. This is understanding and knowledge that comes from traveling throughout the world by backpack, through my work with First Nations, and of course, the knowledge and understanding I have gained through the losses of my sister and my husband from cancer, but also gained in beautiful ways from my lovely daughter and my great friends and family.

How do you stay fabulous?

I always keep a positive attitude, no matter how bad or difficult things are. My motto is that everything can be fixed. I laugh a lot and have fun and don’t get upset easily and try to always understand where the other person is coming from.

What would you do with the $40,000?

I would use the $40,000 to start a program at our local hospital that would provide stuffed toys to scared & upset children who come into the ER, to give them comfort. My daughter had to accompany myself and my husband when he was sick many times to the ER and I know that if a nurse handed her a stuffed toy, that would’ve been a great comfort.
