What I love most about being over 40 is the wisdom that only life experience can bring. Life surely has brought me many lessons - some I learned quickly and others took decades! Each smile line I have earned; each wrinkle has been gained through experience. The wisdom I gain and the love and respect I have for myself and other women today is what makes the 40s incredibly meaningful. My experiences with alcoholism, as a military spouse (and mom!) and now as a substance use counselor brings wisdom
How do you stay fabulous?I work on myself constantly. Inner work and outer work seem to be never ending! Kindness to self and kindness to others makes inner beauty shine. Inner beauty first! As the outer beauty, I take my skincare seriously today because I baby oiled in the Florida sun in my youth! I am grateful today that good skincare and treatments are accessible and affordable. I drink lots of water and eat healthy foods to stay healthy.
What would you do with the $40,000?I had to stop taking graduate classes because they are expensive! With $40,000, I will be able to finish my masters degree in behavioral health at Eastern Washington University. With my master’s degree complete, I will be able to make more of a meaningful impact and on the opioid/fentanyl crisis burdening our communities nationwide.
