I love being over 40. I tell friends the best day is the day after you turn 40, and you really realize that this second part of your life, you’re not willing to settle for less than. You’re only going to invest in the best… in your personal life, with your true friends. Everything shifts and you really come into your own after 40. I am incredibly proud of the woman I’ve become and all the things that have led up to what makes me, me. I became more “myself” I’ve ever been, after 40.
How do you stay fabulous?Self-care. Whether it’s a little Botox, a cup of wellness tea, a warm towel with lavender oil… everything I do to “restore” myself and feel better, is a part of my life I take very seriously. I built my business and brand I continue to build on comfortable luxury, whether that’s in my chair at the salon when I’m doing a scalp massage with essential oils, or taking the time for my own self to do the same, I use the ritual of self care to restore my peace and balance and feel my most beautiful.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would love to win the 40,000. But more importantly I am so honored to be in the running at all. I’ve worked very hard especially in the last few years to accomplish all I wanted to be in this life. I became a mom after 35 so I would love to take my kids on an amazing vacation, and then be smart and invest wisely into my salon business. I’d like to be able to be the single mom who built something for her kids to inherit so I’d use it to make my small business even better, and inspire women.
