I embrace being over forty as I live my life fully with purpose and intention. Engaging in my work, church community and at home as a mother, sister, friend, daughter, caregiver and travel nurse brings me joy. I love to serve others. I am a Mentor and want to be a role model to the younger men and women who are starting their careers. I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, learning new cultures. I live my life as a gift from God, being inspired by others to be an inspiration those around me.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by caring for my physical, mental and spiritual health. For the physical I follow a simple diet with a light breakfast, heavy lunch and light dinner. For exercise, I aim for the 10,000 steps a day. I refrain from smoking. I do facials, massages monthly with Massage Envy and pamper myself at the medical spa with intravenous hydration with vitamin boosters. A great source of energy is being around positive people. I enjoy praying and meditation for spiritual and mental health.
What would you do with the $40,000?With the cash prize I would like to support my son in his career transition. The other part will be to grow my brand and business which is to educate the new travel nurse. My vision is to have an education center for young professionals. I want to offer classes virtually and in person. Classes and workshops will be in teaching new nurses how to create work life balance with meal preparations, simulating 12-hour shifts, financial wellness, budgeting, and social networking events and CPR courses.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
