What do you love about being over 40?

40 was a new beginning. It’s years of experiencing life in one way, and taking that experience and entering this new chapter as a more well-rounded, resilient, and grateful soul. I appreciate life with a different perspective, and can navigate more complicated situations and stresses with grace and patience. 40 was a significant turning point for me – I made a commitment to take better care of myself by eliminating alcohol from my life, and in turn I live each day with more clarity and presence.

How do you stay fabulous?

I love to laugh and find joy and lightness in everything as much as I can. I love my family and look forward to quality time with them every day. I cherish my yoga practice and it keeps my mind, body and soul in shape. Every decision I make is mindful - choosing sobriety, what I eat, how I move through life each day. I love to have fun, travel, create and communicate. I’ve discovered the more you love and accept who you are – the more you can love, accept and give to others. And that is fabulous.

What would you do with the $40,000?

Honestly, it would be so impactful to our family. We recently relocated from Atlanta to Oklahoma City (our third move I the last 10 years), and those relocations are always more expensive than you think. College is also on the horizon for both of our daughters and contributing their education would be huge. This would also put us in a position to give to the non-profit Love Your Brain, which provides yoga, health and wellness services to those affected by traumatic brain injury.
