What don't I love about being over 40? The hot flashes, the unexpected weight gain over night, the hormonal acne AND fine lines and wrinkles? It's really a dream come true. In all seriousness, every day is a gift. The life I pictured when I was 25 and a new mother looks nothing like the life I have. My first born died when I was 29 and I didn't have much to live for. Today I have so much to live for and am so proud of my family and my career. Every trip around the sun is a gift.
How do you stay fabulous?I think a combination of vodka and In-N-Out helps keep me preserved. But I also do my best to stay in touch with my friends, be a good leader to my staff, set industry standards for true crime television, and hopefully first and foremost give my children the love and support they need to grow up and be good people who contribute to the world. And last but not least, make some fun time for my eternally patient husband, who supports me each and every day.
What would you do with the $40,000?What wouldn't I do? Pay down my mortgage? Go on vacation? Donate some to nonprofits that help build playgrounds for underserved communities. Pay for the kids activities? Get my cat permanently de-fleed??? The sky's the limit.
