Confidence and knowing what is truly important. My family, friends, and God’s green earth are my priorities, along with kindness towards others and passion for my work. I don’t care so much about what others think. I’m aware of my accomplishments and my experiences and I’m grateful. My time is more valuable to do what needs to be done and what brings me joy. Notably too, is that I don’t take myself too seriously. I know most of life’s stages and understand most setbacks are not devastating.
How do you stay fabulous?Self care is especially important now that I’m older. Exercise, healthy eating and skin care are essential. I walk 4 miles 4 times a week, lift weights, fast, and care for my skin. Make up is important as well as a high end hair stylist. I like to feel healthy and look as vibrant and stylish as I can. I’m really having fun with style now more than ever. I’m trendier and not afraid to play with ideas. I love Instagram for trends and my daughter has hooked me on thrifting and consigning.
What would you do with the $40,000?I am a cancer survivor. In 2012 I was most fortunate to only have to endure a double mastectomy and several surgeries after. I’m thrilled these proceeds go to cancer research. Most of the generous winnings would be set aside for college if my daughter decides to go to graduate school. If she doesn’t attend grad school, then my husband and I would use it to travel.
