Elder Kathy

I have overcome a lot from multiple Brain surgeries starting at 13, then I had my son at 16.. I managed to navigate my way through this and an any other challenge life presented to me with a smile, sense of humour and a stubborn Irish streak. But through all of that I never truly knew myself, I spent a lifetime focusing on being a mom, a friend and a career woman and never really got to know me. Then I hit my 40’s, I did therapy and learned to set boundaries and that self care isn’t selfish!

I have an incredible therapy dog named Stormy, he’s a 5 yr old G.Doodle. He keeps me active with wonderful walks, he cracks me up (he gets his sense of humour from me I have a condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia, that causes severe pain. I like to bake as that tends to take my mind off the pain, then I share the goodies with friends and family. Living with a chronic illness/pain can take its toll, it’s important that I rest on my bad days so I can really show up for those that show up for me.

I would really like to book some medical testing/imaging that’s only available in the U.S Unfortunately it would be not covered by medical insurance or AHS. Then my boyfriend and I have some renovations that need done around our house. Then the rest would be placed in savings….until our two week trip to Mexico next year. Then I would treat us to an unforgettable two weeks away. It’s already going to be amazing, the two of us and a rental car touring through the Yucatán Peninsula.
