My philosophy is to live life to its fullest. I do this by strength training, being mindful, and lifting others up. We only have one life!
We would like to thank you for supporting Edith Young in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
Life beyond 40 or in my case 50 has been very rewarding! I hit my stride in my 40’s in multiple ways. My career took off; I became an empty nester; I honed in on aging stronger and healthier; I started giving back to others with my time and sharing my experiences and learnings over the years. There’s just been so much personal growth, appreciation, and gratitude. Life is good!!!
How do you stay fabulous?I consider myself to be a servant leader. Helping others, connecting with people who may want mentorship or guidance is a calling for me. My daytime career is working in IT in the Infrastructure space. I continue to challenge myself to learn and grow so that I can stay relevant in the workplace. I also serve on a board of directors for a local non-profit women’s organization whose goal is to provide professional development from the classroom to the boardroom! Together We Rise!
What would you do with the $40,000?One of the first things I would do is donate half to the non-profit organization I work with. This would provide them with funds to grow their young leaders and mentoring programs. I’d also donate to local animal rescues to help with placement of animals in foster homes. I’m sure I’d also spend a little on myself; maybe a spa day or small shopping spree.
