I love being over 40 because it’s a time of strength, confidence, and wisdom. In this phase of life, I’ve learned to truly embrace who I am, unapologetically. I've built on past experiences to create a life that reflects my purpose and passions. Being over 40 allows me to mentor and inspire others, showing that age is just a number and that it's never too late to pursue your dreams. Every challenge has become a stepping stone, and now I’m living with more clarity, joy, and empowerment than ever.
How do you stay fabulous?I keep God first, surround myself with love and allow myself grace. I prioritize self-care, which for me means nourishing my mind, body, and spirit. I stay active, practice gratitude daily, I surround myself with positive energy, whether through uplifting people, empowering work, dedicating time to personal growth, and reminding youth, women and professionals that they can thrive, hope, affirm and transcend. Self-love and embracing who I am and continuing to evolve keeps me feeling fabulous.
What would you do with the $40,000?If I win the $40,000, I would use it to invest in empowering women and undeserved youth expand my mentorship programs, giving more young people access to resources that build confidence, self-worth, life skills & access to college. I'd love to fund initiatives in behavioral health, an area I’m passionate about, to support those in need. Lastly, I’d dedicate a portion to growing my platform as an empowerment speaker, so I can reach even more individuals with a message of strength & resilience.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
