I’ve survived cancer in 2011, died on the table at my local hospital. Survived a broken neck from a car accident, and I’m still standing.
We would like to thank you for supporting Dorothy Workman in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
The wisdom I’ve gained from the trials and storms I’ve went through. The people I have loved and those I have lost. The freedom of maturity and of the treasure found in weighing your options before making big decisions that can affect not only you but those around you. I have a renewed love of life and optimism.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay positive. I stay grounded, I write and release emotional burdens and make no exceptions for toxicity, keep your soul free from deceit and lies that can become a sickness that isn’t easily gotten rid of once it dwells within you awhile. Inner peace. I’m happy being me with myself. Whether in silence or at the ocean or in the mountains, because peace comes from within before it can be shared properly with the world.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would like to pay off the delinquent bills due that I owe from no fault of my own, which is about six thousand dollars, and regain my credit, and save the rest towards a down payment for a home. I have a new job and have the opportunity to save and invest, to start a new life. To start fresh with a clean slate.
