Being 40 is truly fulfilling, as I've developed greater responsibility and stability through both positive and negative life experiences. I'm Donnell Salvador, a proud single parent who raised my 21-year-old son after 18 years of marriage ended in divorce. He's now pursuing an animation degree. I've since found love and become engaged. As manager of Edge Beauty Cosmetics at Dillard's, I've also completed my higher education in the US. I'm honored to be selected for Fab Over 40 competition.
How do you stay fabulous?I find great contentment in my profession and appreciate the partnership I share with my partner, with whom I share a deep passion for life. By maintaining a positive mindset, I avoid letting negativity dominate my day. My family, particularly my son, holds immense significance; they are my motivation to stay resilient and work diligently. I also prioritize a healthy lifestyle and strive to maintain a positive outlook, even in difficult times.
What would you do with the $40,000?If I were to win this competition, I have two primary objectives. Firstly, I intend to cover my son's college education expenses, as a single mother, I face significant challenges in paying his tuition fees. Secondly, I wish to reunite with my mother in the United States, as family holds immense importance to me, especially after losing my father; I dearly miss my mother in the Philippines. Any remaining money, I would love to spoil myself to a spa day.
