I work full time in public health, started my own business, and care for my 3 and 8 year old girls. I believe I can do anything.
We would like to thank you for supporting Devon Wilson-Torres in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
I love that I feel more comfortable in my own skin, and at the same time I'm eager to keep learning and grow. My improved health gives me the stamina to keep going and show my two young girls what it looks like to be yourself, be kind to others, be good to your body, and kick ass at life. I know what (and who) to avoid (and I’m not sorry about it), and have learned to trust my gut. I don't tolerate rudeness and I don't waste my energy on negativity. This life is it; I’m making the most of it.
How do you stay fabulous?I put myself first. I can't maintain the level of energy I need to work, build a business, raise two girls, and be a solid partner for my husband without being at my best. I prioritize precious sleep, good food, daily movement, and time with my friends. I dance, I walk, and I always ask my Dr the embarrassing questions so I'm on top of my health. I talk with my 2 girls everyday. I love them so much! I set small goals, big goals, and enjoy the journey of achieving them.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would invest $15,000 into my business, set aside $10,000 each for my daughters' future and use the remaining to glam up my wardrobe, upgrade my skin care, and get a much needed hair cut and color.
