Being over 40 is unique stage of life full of intelligence and wisdom gained from experience. You have to stumble and fall more than a few times to know what (and who) to avoid to achieve your best potential. I love that I can reminisce on my past fondly and learn from the lessons that life has taught me. At age 45, with a 3 year old son and a loving husband, I can definitely say that I wouldn't want to be where I'm at right now knowing only what I knew in my 20s.
How do you stay fabulous?I have evolved my personal style from Seventeen Magazine to Vogue and Cosmopolitan. It's amazing to see how powerful a confident image can be in the eyes of people offering opportunities. Exercising regularly and being inspired by creative independent artists in my open mic shows and writing workshops keeps my social life thriving. I take pride in my appearance, look people in the eye when speaking, and I show up where I'm needed to make a positive impact. That's my definition of FABULOUS.
What would you do with the $40,000?With $40,000 I would achieve my long term dream of living a life with no credit card or mortgage debt. My mother taught me that you can't pour into anyone else's life if you have an empty cup. Getting out of debt would improve my credit score and allow me to invest in other people's lives - my son, my husband and I would start investing in another long term dream of mine which is owning an all inclusive / creative community event space in metro Atlanta. Oh, the possibilities!!
