After becoming an empty nester & my 28 year marriage ending within 6 months, I sold my home and moved 1000 miles to start a new story.

At age 55, I love that I have such deeply rooted connections to the friends and family that have been in my life for so long and this gets better with age. I also value knowing the longer I’m in the world the more I can do to help whoever or whatever needs me. In 2024 I experienced a whirlwind of emotions, from the excitement of a fresh start to the fear of stepping into the unknown.
How do you stay fabulous?I go to the gym 6 days a week and try to stay positive by listening to my mom’s advice and perspective on life’s challenges. 2024 brought a lot of change. I also make sure to laugh every single day. I want smile lines! I continue to experience a sense of loss and nostalgia for the life I had built, but also a profound sense of liberation and empowerment as I embark on this new chapter.
What would you do with the $40,000?I want to help my kids pay for their college education. Having struggled with student debt myself, I know firsthand the stress and limitations it can impose on one's life. The burden of monthly payments restricted my career choices and delayed other financial goals. By helping my kids, I hope to ease their transition into adulthood and give them more freedom to pursue their passions without the weight of debt.
