I am way over 40. I am 75 and I am feeling freer than ever. I accept myself and I am more forgiving of my flaws. I have developed a tougher skin and criticism doesn't crush me anymore. I am more patient with my 2 daughters and I love listening to their concerns with empathy. I love my "me" time where I can actually sit on my deck and cloud glaze without interruptions. I love that I can stay in my pajamas all day. And I love that I am finally learning to say "no" without feeling guilty.
How do you stay fabulous?PRAY. There are times when I feel a little panicky about being in the last phase of my life... That's when my fabulousness starts to slip. I simply dial one of my prayer call lines and through my tears, I allow them to pray for me. Before I know it, I feel the comfort of God. He reminds me that I am "Fearfully and Wonderfully" made. After that, I am empowered to go to my gym room and work out "a little". Then I shower, put on some perfume, and a little make-up. And I feel Fabulous!!
What would you do with the $40,000?My husband and I live on a fixed income; Pension and Social Security. Everything goes up but our income. We are financially challenged. But, I somehow find a way to cook and deliver hot meals to homeless women living in motels with their children. I too, was once homeless. I am very passionate about helping single moms. I would use some of the money to help a few single moms for Christmas- pay rent, utilities & buy toys. I would help my sick daughter (a Lupus patient) with medical bills.
