I am unapologetically me! I am seasoned in all areas of my life and I show up as my funny, do anything to make people happy, self. During my addiction, shame and guilt kept my face down and my spirit broken. Today, my soul is on fire for life and I refuse to waste any more time worrying and being small. Life loves me, and I will be present and share my recovery for the rest of my time here. 51 is an age that addiction almost robbed me of and I will not take it for granted!
How do you stay fabulous?By taking care of my recovery journey first. I also stay fab because I genuinely love the work I do as a peer support for people who suffer. It feeds my soul. I get to travel around the nation and talk about my journey through addiction and into recovery and sharing my gift with the world. I also stay fabulous by looking myself in the mirror everyday and telling myself I’m a bad b!tch and that no one is better than me. And by never tucking my crazy in for anyone ever again. Fabulous for life!
What would you do with the $40,000?I have 2 adult daughters who deserve to be pampered on a great vacation. I lost custody of them when they were 4&7. I got sober and they came home a year later but I struggled as a single mom. We went on trips, but I spent the majority of the time price checking each activity and making sure my account could handle it. I would also help our recovery non profit get off the ground to show others that WE DO RECOVER and we all deserve to be sober and free. And save some, for rainy days of course ;)
