I’ve lived many years beyond 40, and motherhood was a transformative experience that reshaped my world. It taught me that life is not just about me but about compassion and selflessness. I treasure my identity as a woman and my deeper connections with other women. I value myself in ways I hadn’t before, truly embracing self-love and forgiveness. I understand the challenges, but I also recognize the beauty in my smile, my energy, and how I make others feel in my presence.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by respecting my body and honoring its needs, embracing the balance between self-care and ambition. Nourishing myself with fresh, local produce from the farmers' market fuels my body; I enjoy swimming, which keeps me energized. Meditation helps me find peace and clarity, grounding me in the present. I also find joy in my career, continually striving for success and personal growth. Staying fabulous means thriving in all aspects of life, mentally, physically, and spiritually.
What would you do with the $40,000?This question is important, and I have many thoughts about what is most important in my life. First, I would offer an amount to my aging mother, who is in a nursing home with limited finances. Next, I would love to create lasting memories by taking my son, daughter, and family on a beautiful vacation. I would donate to Okizu, a non-profit that I fundraise in support of families coping with childhood cancer. Help rebuild the summer camp, which was destroyed in the Berry Creek fire in 2020.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
