As someone with an “old soul”, I spent a lot of time in my youth wishing I could be different. Now that my “old soul” has caught up to my external age, it feels like I have arrived at a place of acceptance. I appreciate my journey, and am proud that I was able to “bend” and not break. I love the fiercely loyal, spicey, confident and fun adventurous person I am today. Being over 40 has given me the wisdom I needed to be authentic and free to be me!
How do you stay fabulous?Saying fabulous to me means personal growth. Trying new things and saying yes to life! Giving out good energy and giving back. I recently got my motorcycle license, singing lessons so I can sing in a band (lifelong dream), took up swing dancing with my husband of 32 years and staying active so I can keep up with my grandson! We walk, work out and try to stay accountable to daily exercise! I also recently started writing a book, capturing the love story and adventures of my in-laws lives.
What would you do with the $40,000?The first thing I would do is book a trip with my dad. My mom has Parkinson’s (as does my Mother in law).. This disease has impacted our families and we have all been caretakers to our parents. My dad though, has spent his entire retirement (14 years) taking care of my mom. As she recently went into long-term care, I would love to take him to see Niagara Falls. He has always wanted to go. The remainder, I would put a down payment on a house for my daughter and her family!
