Wisdom. Certainty of some things. Perspective on what’s important and what’s not. Family, friends, colleagues, doing the best you can every day but knowing there’s always room for improvement. Having something that brings tears to your eyes daily whether it be touching, disappointing, frustrating, or beautiful. Acknowledging and appreciating the glimmers that come. Accepting hard things that we can’t control. Having meaningful connections with someone you just met because of life experience.

I’m particular about real food and knowing what’s good for me. My grandmother was and my mother is a dementia sufferer. I practice all the things I can do to prevent following in their footsteps. I take advantage of every opportunity to tell somebody something positive that they may need to hear or don’t even know about themselves. I love to teach and train. I love to empower young people to believe in themselves. My career allows me to be a role model. I try to be grateful every day.

When I started this adventure, I said I would use it for my mother‘s elder care, to help my brother and his girls get ahead after losing their mother last year and donate some to charity. And I may still. But now having been a victim of hurricane Helene and hurricane Milton with a considerable amount of damage and clean up. that money might come in really handy to restore our home and help our neighbors. We were all hit very hard.
