I've learned to get comfortable when things get uncomfortable. "Lean into discomfort"
We would like to thank you for supporting Darlene Davis in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
Since turning 40 I love all the things I have learned from travels and experiences. I volunteer with various organizations supporting urban food deserts, STEM & childhood education and disaster relief. I work in human resources and it allows me to interface with so many people it is simply a pleasure to serve. I think I have grown in my love for service work, both employed and as a volunteer. I am unafraid to try new experiences and that IS what makes me fabulous.
How do you stay fabulous?Staying fabulous is easy if you do what you love and love yourself. I maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle focusing on body, mind and spirit. My core beliefs of giving back and community service bring both growth and joy to everything I do. I spend my free time doing community service remembering to take time for self care. Enjoying travel abroad and exercising, mostly roller skating, yoga and swimming is how I take care of myself.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would like to invest in a roller rink, but if that is out of reach, I will help improve the quality of life for my family and contribute to the non profits where I am already involved. I would even launch a non profit supporting children in the arts.
