I’m 73, and I learned that to work at your profession or job for as long as possible (I was in the medical field till age 70) is essential.
We would like to thank you for supporting CYNTHIA Slater in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
I love the feeling of having learned from life. I am experienced, wise, accomplished, totally myself, independent, and still learning! I have birthed 7 children-including twins- and have been a single mom most of my life. I’ve survived through the trauma of losing a child, a grandchild, and a husband while still being a mom to the remaining 6 children, and 12 grandchildren. I’ve gone to school and worked throughout. I love that this has made me stronger and more empathetic in my later years.
How do you stay fabulous?Since I’m retired now from the medical field, I have worked seriously to become an herbalist with my own small business. I also work at a garden market outside with the plants. I walk daily and do free weights at home and take my own herbal remedies.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would be able to pay off my car, see a dentist, help my business, and have a bit in the bank to help my children and grandchildren financially in an emergency.
