I’ve spent a lot of years being very hard on myself, but life is what you make it and I am trying to make the rest of my life fabulous.
We would like to thank you for supporting Courtenay Schapansky in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
To be honest, I love telling people my age! I’m 48! I love that with age I can finally start putting myself first. I feel like, especially being a woman, that we often put ourselves on the back burner and put kids , partners and work first! But,. It is so important to start putting yourself first. It’s not selfish. It’s self love and we all deserve self love.
How do you stay fabulous? When I was 41 I walked into a gym for the first time. I am the mother of 5 and I spent most of my adult life in ‘survival mode’ (I became a mom at 16) honestly just am so grateful I get to move my body and feel strong, I feel empowered and it’s not really an effort to stay fabulous per se, but pride myself on being the fun grandma and to keep up with my granddaughters I have to stay fit.
What would you do with the $40,000?Our local SPCA is going into winter with a lack of donations and I would love to help them out ! Also I would like the opportunity to invest some as well. I also have a medical treatment that I need that I have been unable to pay for so it would be incredible to be able to get that done as well !!
