I think what I love most about being over 40 is that sometimes I don't always love it. It's best to be real and it's hard getting older. Things don't always work the same or look the same or feel the same. But in the end it all comes with a story and experiences that are mine. Sometimes I have to check myself and tell myself that I've got a lot of really great stories and I will continue to have stories that have shaped me into the person that I am today. That in itself is something to love.
How do you stay fabulous?As a former collegiate athlete, it's important for me to stay active. Not only because I get bored very easily, but because I want to set the right kind of example for my two girls and my son. Sometimes it is challenging because my body doesn't react the same way it used to, but we are making memories and exploring together. I do yoga everyday and as a family we go hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, and basically anything outdoors, in addition to being a part of my kids daily activities.
What would you do with the $40,000?I'm sure there are many cliche things that I could say here, but the reality is I would take care of some debts so that I can take care of my kids and continue making memories with them. I have one that's in preschool, one that's in elementary school and one that's in Middle School and as much as I work and try to prepare for their futures, it can be challenging when expenses pile up.
