How do you stay fabulous?Practicing and preaching self care! Advocating for others who do not feel they have a voice. I’m a therapist so I guess that’s my occupational hazard! I give back to the community by mentoring counselors working with domestic violence survivors. But honestly, my friends, family and an adoring husband keep me fabulous. Staying fabulous is also sharing what I have and appreciating the little things everyday. Expressing gratitude keeps me fabulous.
What would you do with the $40,000?It is my dream to open up a “therapy cafe”. A safe haven where people of all ages and backgrounds can come and “break bread” with therapists, access mental health care, host self care activities around art and healing, and connect with others in the pursuit of friendship and learning. I don’t have a center like this in my community so I would love to create this space.
