Releasing the drama, trauma, emotional baggage that my younger self thought necessary to lug around this big, beautiful planet! Metaphorically, I’ve learned to pack light, not take things so seriously. I want to design a t-shirt that says, “Don’t berate, create!” I now try to focus on experiencing life fully, to come from love (as much as one can, being human) and share the immense joy found in the everyday little things with those I love and care for (which includes you, beautiful soul!)
How do you stay fabulous?I’d say you’ve got to start with being fabulous, and that stems from a healthy awareness of your beautiful, quirky, multi-faceted self. Fabulousness is rooted in Self-Knowledge, -Acceptance and -Love. So, not only have I embraced a spa lifestyle (healthy nutrition, regular exercise, psychological well-being, and care of the face and body), I’ve spent decades cultivating and openly challenging myself to grow and be a better human. Self-worth creates an inner glow that can’t be synthesized.
What would you do with the $40,000?When I decided to go back to school in 2016, I knew I was “investing” in myself and my future. Never once did I think, “I’m near 60, I should think about retiring.” Never, not once. I imagined a fresh start in a brand-new career with my newly earned degrees under my belt. What I didn’t plan on were the financial setbacks that Covid created by me not working for those two years following graduation. I would give myself the gift of freedom from debt.
