I'm older, wiser and better. There is a sense of confidence and calm in my life now that I didn't have when I was younger. I've been able to achieve so much of what I wanted for myself when I was just starting out in my career. I love that I've been able to mentor young chefs, help build community and feed people. I also am proud of my volunteer and board work with the Culinary Literacy Center at the Free Library of Philadelphia, The Food Lab at Drexel and the Emily Whitehead Foundation.

I have been strength training and that has helped tremendously. I also try to walk as much as I can for exercise and city exploration. I have a really wonderful family and make sure to cook my parents dinner and talk with my sister in law regularly. My friends are also pivotal to my well being. The lacrosse girls from college and I text almost daily. My chef community keep me grounded and provide advice, support and camaraderie whenever I need it. I think it's important to practice joy as well.

I'd take a nice trip with a little bit of the money but then use the remainder for my business, eat cetera philly. Our motto is "We are here to teach you, feed you and show you a good time!" My goal/joy/purpose in life is to inspire/teach/lead people to cook more, eat better and have a good time! There's really nothing better than a great meal with great people. Nothing.
