Wow! What don’t I love? The confidence and wisdom that comes with age. The ability to appreciate, nourish, and cherish my body in the way that means the most to ME! Being an “older” mom allows me an opportunity to be more patient and more intuitive with my kiddos. Recognizing in myself when I need a break (be it mental, emotional, or physical)! All of these experiences simply are not available in your 20s or 30s when you’re in a season of uncertainty, discovery, and restlessness.
How do you stay fabulous?Meditation! Yoga! Reading! Regular romance with my husband! Spending time with my kids doing what THEY love! Practicing and teaching yoga, fostering kittens, constantly learning and educating, and having a job that is challenging and fulfilling are all contributors to being fabulous! Staying fabulous is all about balance - this doesn’t mean 50/50 anything (that doesn’t exist); rather, recognizing when to switch focus, & when to put more effort and practice into specific areas of my life.
What would you do with the $40,000?Down payment on a house? Pay off school loans? Buy a new car?! Lottery ticket? Options are endless. Definitely a trip to Ireland and more Gerald & Piggie books for my daughter and Minecraft books for my son. A weekend away with my hubby!
