My husband & I struggled for 9 years with infertility. Managing the emotions of what I could not do/be as a wife/woman was challenging. I let go of expectations, focused on our goal to be parents, & we had a child via surrogate. The emotions are overwhelming, especially when you're "old" in the reproductive world & opinions/comments can be hurtful. However, I have an amazingly supportive husband, family, & friends. This journey has shaped my priorities & I feel now I am the best version of me.
How do you stay fabulous?I believe in growth, knowledge, & supporting what I believe in. I continuously seek out opportunities for growth spiritually, emotionally, and physically. I am confident in who I am & a fierce supporter of those I love. Love is the foundation of everything we do & I strive to foster love & joy in all relationships, & things I do. Finally, I want my son to see me as a strong, resilient woman who will love him fearlessly, ferociously, & always help him/others to be the best version of themselves.
What would you do with the $40,000?Surrogacy is expensive and many people shy away from utilizing surrogacy as an option to family building because of the financial burden. I would use half of the money to pay off surrogacy debt. I would use the remaining money to start a surrogacy coaching/consulting business to help intended parents through their journey and offer a "scholarship" to help another family with surrogacy, agency, or fertility treatment fees as they begin their journey.
