Feeling more confident in my skin. Having the life experience and confidence in my choices, trying new things and following my passions (baking, travel, the arts) without worrying about what other people think. I feel like I can look at life as an adventure. Also having the time and ability to hang out with my kids who are now teens and really enjoy watching them get to be their own person (with a little guidance from mom).
How do you stay fabulous?Indulging my loves. Getting my exercise outside where I can feel the sun while I run along the river. And messing around in my garden - both vegetable and flowers - being outdoors gives me joy and joy makes us all glow. Being present in the little moments. That perfect cup of coffee, that perfect square of chocolate melting on my tongue. A nourishing moisturizer. And, of course, sunscreen.
What would you do with the $40,000?I have 3 kids to put through secondary school, so some would go into savings for them. I know there are also some local women's shelters that could really benefit from having more space so they don't have to turn away anyone who needs them. Hopefully a donation would help provide help for more women/families in need.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
