I’m Carrie! I pride myself in looking my best at all times. I’m a hairstylist, small business owner and a parawife! (My hubs is paralyzed)
We would like to thank you for supporting Carrie Shaffer in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
I love being over 40. I have a lot of life experience. I love having the knowledge to mentor the younger stylists in my salon about their personal lives as well as their professional lives. I also have a passion for educating about people with disabilities. My husband is a paraplegic and it has taught me a lot that I want to share with everyone. Not only do I love hair, skincare is so important too. Educating my coworkers as well as my clients on how to look and feel their best is a passion.
How do you stay fabulous?I maintain my fabulous by regular visits to the med spa and keeping up with hair trends on myself. Work life balance is key as well. My husband is my world and I’m fortunate that I can spend as much time with him as I do. We make the most of every minute we get together whether it’s riding our ATVs or playing with our dogs.
What would you do with the $40,000?$40,000 would allow us to have a down payment for a wheelchair accessible home. Accessibility is so important for independence. Doing it on our own is not easy. When I imagine my husband having everything he needs to live like able bodied people do, it brings tears to my eyes. This would be an opportunity of a lifetime for us.
