I am 49. I own a successful boutique. I’m doing well for myself but, I want more!!!
We would like to thank you for supporting Burgundy Sims in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
Being over forty has been a transformative experience for me. I opened a successful boutique, which became a vital stepping stone toward my true passion for fashion design. I embrace life unapologetically, pursuing my dreams with confidence and clarity. No longer second-guessing myself, I celebrate my authentic self and the unique perspective I bring to the world. I love this new version of me—I finally know who I am, and I’m excited to continue this journey. I’ve never felt so alive!!!!
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by celebrating my accomplishments, no matter how small, and never taking anything for granted. I recognize that it’s okay to be selfish sometimes; prioritizing my needs is essential for my well-being. I always take out time for myself, participating in things that bring me happiness and rejuvenation. By putting myself first, I cultivate a positive mindset and a sense of peace. This allows embrace life and the people I love fully.
What would you do with the $40,000?With $40,000, I would bring my designs to life by launching my brand, House of Burgundy. This investment would enable me to create my first collection, The Boujetto Collection, and showcase it on the runway at New York Fashion Week. I would allocate funds for high-quality materials, skilled production, and marketing, to ensure a strong brand. Presenting my collection at such a prestigious event would not only elevate my brand, scratch off another goal from my vision board & live in my purpose.
