I have an autoimmune muscle and skin wasting disease that I fight every second of the day. I try to do this as gracefully as possible.

I love being over forty first of all because it's a privilege that many people get to experience. I also love being over forty because throughout your life you not only see but live through so much, both good and bad experiences. The good, of course, gives you pleasure and makes you want to live your life to the fullest and the bad teaches us so many valuable lessons, that we can share with the younger generations.
How do you stay fabulous?I try to live with my heart guiding me in the right direction. I keep an open mind and Im grateful for all the wonderful people in my life. They keep me happy and humble. I think your heart keeps you young, not only mentally but physically as well. Stress can play havoc on you both mentally and physically. I also like to look at life through the eyes of a child. The wonderment of the world keeps you young and light hearted.
What would you do with the $40,000?My husband and I bought his grandmother's old house which needs remodeling. Our upstairs has more room but does not have a bathroom which would make it difficult for me to stay in with my muscle weakness. I would make the house a little more conducive to my special needs. I would also donate money to the Dermatomyositis foundation to help with research for this rare and debilitating disease.
