One of the greatest gifts of turning 40 is the sense of clarity I’ve gained about who I am and what truly matters to me. My passion for my work has only deepened as I’ve seen firsthand the power of therapy in transforming lives. Every day, I work with clients to navigate their struggles and help them find pathways to healing. On a personal level, I realize more than ever how important it is to nurture relationships, and spend time with those who you care about.
How do you stay fabulous?Since turning 40, I’ve also come to understand the importance of self-compassion. The pressure to be perfect has faded, replaced by a growing sense of self-acceptance. This acceptance allows me to show up more authentically, both for my clients and for my family, and has made me more grounded in the work I do. This season of life has also given me a greater sense of purpose and energy to give back. Whether it’s through my nonprofit, my private practice, or simply being a more present.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would like to expand my private practice into a group practice to be able to serve more individuals within our community. The unique approach that our co-op offers (a holistic approach to trauma) is unlike anything our community offers. I would also provide a portion of the funds to our non-profit to continue to service our community through free and accessible mental health groups to children and families.
