Being over 40 is the sacred time where your lived experiences have cultivated you into this phenomenal woman that you didn’t even know existed. This is the time where it all makes sense. The detours, the no’s, the risks, the faith all comes to surface and all those seeds took root…. And you’re not a flower- you’re a tree. I love being over 40, for the view, the milestones, and the growth. I know that no matter what…. I always Rise.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by harnessing flexibility. I am absorbent when I am being watered and I am receptive when discernment says “You Better Lay-Low” - (Whitney Houston) I take care of my mental health and my table is by invitation only. I keep good company and I am a firm believer that joy comes in the morning. I stay fabulous because of my awareness and confidence in who I am and what I stand for. I treat me well. I treat others well. I stay fabulous by showing up as the best version of myself.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would open my holiday house for this holiday season. I have a dream to operate a home for the holidays place where youth who aged out of the foster care system can come sign up to spend the holidays with me. I would open a house where people could detox off fentanyl. It would be homely environment where they could come and participate in recovery in a holistic way.
