What I love about being over 40 is, first and foremost, the fact that I don’t look a day over 30! I truly appreciate the wisdom I've gained over the past four decades. I enjoy reflecting on my journey, recognizing the challenges I've overcome, the accomplishments I've achieved, and the goals I still aspire to reach. Being in my 40s has also shown me that strength is essential; this stage of life is not for the weak. I take great pride in my resilience and the fact that I've made it to 40.
How do you stay fabulous?To me, fabulousness is a state of mind. I wear what I love and what feels comfortable, and I always aim to look good in it whether it’s an elegant ensemble or a casual t-shirt with a messy bun. It’s not just about what I wear; it’s about how I carry myself and the confidence I have in being my authentic self. Fabulousness comes from within!
What would you do with the $40,000?I know this may sound cliché, I would take my daughter on an incredible trip. Last year, I was deployed to Saudi Arabia for six months, during which I missed not only my 40th birthday but also my daughter’s 16th birthday. To make up for that, I want to create lasting memories on a fabulous getaway together. Next, I would invest in myself. I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree in mental health and counseling, with the goal of helping military veterans who are struggling with mental illness.
