What do you love about being over 40?

I thrive by setting and achieving new goals. In my 40's while working, I went back to school in the evenings to further my education and job prospects. In my 50's I achieved my 2nd level WSET certificate (wine spirits education training). I am a "foodie" by nature and taken a variety of cooking/baking classes over the years. Addicted to shopping in "organic/health food stores. Love being retired and the freedom to be my own boss and explore/learn new things.

How do you stay fabulous?

My health is important to me, so I make an effort to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. In my younger years I started running to keep fit. While I enjoyed the outdoor freedom and cardio that provided, I now take a gentler approach to exercise with Pilates, walking, strength training and indoor bike training. Last year I bought myself indoor roller-skates and now skate occasionally with other seniors. My motto is "use it or lose" it so I stay active while maintaining a healthy diet.

What would you do with the $40,000?

Well right now I need a new dishwasher, so first things first. More importantly, I am very interested in starting up a micro bakery business. I love all kinds of baking, but "bread baking" is my favourite. I find baking to be a great stress reliever, and it feeds my desire to be creative while having fun and loving what I do. $40,000.00 would be a dream come true and a wonderful way to kickstart my business.
