The truth is, I have not learned to love myself yet. I am a single mom for almost a decade and quite literally the only reason I’m still here is because of an amazing 17 year old and a 14 year old who I owe everything to to be better than I was. This isn’t easy.
How do you stay fabulous?Fabulous? I don’t know about all of that. I wake up and try not to bring my hurt into the lives of teenagers who all they’ve known is hurt. And try to make them know that I care. Even when they’re wrong and piss me off I care. Then I come home and try to build 2 more teenagers who are the loves of my life. And I fail.
