At 55, I love that I didn't have to grow up in an era of social media and photo filters. I have enjoyed my career immensely, but relish most time spent with my sons, husband, and remaining parent. I cherish my lifelong friendships and daily texts with my best friend from childhood. It's these connections that matter most as I get older, not how my clothes fit or how many crows feet I have!
How do you stay fabulous?I bought a Peloton from a neighbor after Covid and I've never looked back. I only do music rides, though, mostly '60s, '70s and '80s. As a former beauty editor I continue to indulge in subscription boxes, where I get to try new products. My nighttime ritual has so many creams and serums it's almost laughable. I am an optimistic person and I have realized over the years that I am so very lucky in so many ways, so I try to be kind - and I laugh, a lot.
What would you do with the $40,000?My youngest son, who is now 21, had a hard time after Covid squashed his senior year of high school and impeded his transition to college. We had hoped to afford a trip to wherever he wants in the world after graduation, and I'd like to give him that oppportunity as a way to say "It's OK, we all have our own paths."
