What I love about being 40 is seeing the change in myself over the years. From all of my 20’s and 30’s my life has always been about taking care of my husband and children. Since I’ve turned 40 I’ve gone back into the workforce as a longshore woman working at the Los Angeles and Long Beach Ports moving container ship cargo and various other jobs on the docks. Being a wife and homemaker has been the most rewarding thing I’ve done but now it’s time to show my kids what a strong woman I can be.
How do you stay fabulous?Staying fabulous means taking care of yourself on the inside and out. Since I was a little girl I remember my mom waking up early in the morning and getting ready for the day. Makeup, hair and outfit. On days we didn’t have plans I would always ask her why she’d get ready as if she was going somewhere. She would respond with “you never know when you might have to get up and go so I like to be ready.” That has always stuck with me so I like to always be ready looking fab and ready to go.
What would you do with the $40,000?What I would do with $40,000 is pay off some bills, donate to a few causes that are important to me and use the rest for fab trip to Bora Bora. The year I turned 40 and my husband 50, instead of having a huge birthday bash we decided to spend a week in paradise and it was the best time I’ve ever had in my life. It was a true dream come true vacation.
