Realizing just how precious having my own little family is, despite all the obstacles. Learning not to take people or things for granted. Teaching my children and people from my mistakes, as a mother and my battle with the medical world. To always fight passionately for what I believe in.
How do you stay fabulous?I have used comedy as a stepping stone to my days. I try to laugh through stress and pain by making jokes or a simple smile to a stranger. I learned that holding anger and grief doesn't help. To let it go but not be forgotten. I use my shortcomings and life's trials as teaching tools. No matter the struggle.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would use it to rebuild myself and my family. A down-payment on a home and start a non profit to help others in my community. An outreach for all ages, to create through the chaos. Myself and my family have endured a lot and have grown forward. I would like to help others continue to see the light even on a dark day.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
