I love that I’m wiser, and I like that I no longer look fresh out of college. I was carded for the longest time, and there’s something refreshing, freeing, even, about knowing I don’t look that way anymore. I’m mentally and physically stronger than I’ve ever been, and it’s all because of my life experiences—the wonderful, the awful, and everything in between. I love knowing myself more than I ever have. I didn’t feel this way 5 years ago. In my own introverted way, I feel powerful because I’m 45
How do you stay fabulous?I am very aware of the fact that we live in a collective hallucination. Some may call it The Matrix. I had this moment when I realized I could do anything I want. I’m literally able to do anything my heart desires. So I do it. I don’t break any rules because there are none. They’re all made up. And when you live with that mentality, you set yourself free.
What would you do with the $40,000?A portion would go to my businesses, some would go to my daughter’s education fund, I would take a trip work my family, and I would donate to the following: Scleroderma Foundation, March of Dimes. If there’s anything left, I’ll buy a playground shade for my daughter’s school.
