I have never felt more secure with myself, my history and my story. Not only have I shaken off all feelings of shame or regret - I truly OWN my story and I LOVE it! I recognize that I would not be where I am today without my past - and I am now defining "where I am" aka my achievements and success in life through a totally different lens. I have never been more true to my own inherent values and not what society, parents and peers are telling me to care about or who to be in life.
How do you stay fabulous?I am in the best shape of my life! I have a personal trainer who helps me with strength training 3x week, and then I do Pilates each week. I also race sailboats which is an intense sport both physically and mentally. I ALWAYS prioritize sleep. No matter what is going on, I make sure to get at least 8 hours and enough rest - I have embraced naps! I have an all natural skin care routine and am still working on my personal style. As I get older, it is evolving, but I always keep it classic.
What would you do with the $40,000?I have always been a self starter with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. I'm currently working on two new business ideas. One is a specialty dog treat company because I am a lover of animals, and the other is a podcast that aims to empower women to be true to themselves and to not be ashamed about the realities of riding the mid-life rollercoaster. This prize money would help me immensely with paying my mortgage, health insurance and other bills while I get my ideas off the ground!
