40 is my warrior era. I had my only child at 42, diagnosed with breast cancer at 45, a single mom at 47, a stage 4 cancer THIVER at 48!

I love the low-drama friendships and the empowerment women over 40 share. The confidence I experience and project from being secure and comfortable with my body, even with Stage 4 BC. My view on love, life, and family is clear and more unconditional. As I age, my ego shrinks and my heart grows. I’ve learned to listen more and talk less. Each experience in my 40’s is embraced with more joy and presence. I value the lessons in my life more and learn from them to be better, to live better.
How do you stay fabulous?A positive attitude and gratitude keeps me fabulous. Even on my darkest days, I am happy because it could be worse. I am fortunate to not have terrible side effects from the cancer medication. I don’t look “sick” and I feel good most days. I see myself aging more everyday from the hormone blockers and chemo pills but when I look in the mirror, I smile. Staying fabulous is achieved through my faith, the support from friends and family, and the love for my six year old son.
What would you do with the $40,000?Live life to its fullest! For me, that includes progressive cancer treatments coupled with my current medical protocol to help prolong my life. Try advanced treatments. Eat better and rest more. Travel to see the wonders of the world. Take my son to America’s national parks. Visit friends and family across the states. Mainly, extend my life and make as many memories that I can before I leave the earth.
