My sense of confidence is what I love most about being over 40. I am loving myself and not accepting anything less than what I deserve, personally and professionally. I definitely teach people how to treat me and protect my space at all costs. Plus I’m embracing being at the cusp of empty nest hood. I am a grown adult and am really tapping into that whether it be doing what I enjoy and feeding into myself or working late and taking the long way home from work, I do it!
How do you stay fabulous?Praying and listening to messages about the Bible is the most important way I stay fabulous. I do some type of self care daily. I laugh often and spend quality time with my support system also known as my people/my tribe. I’m a foodie so going out to dinner or cooking is a way I stay fabulous as I cultivate the relationships that matter to me. I go to the gym 4 times a week, I’m doing weight watchers, I read for fun, I create content for social media, I educate youth, and dress for success daily
What would you do with the $40,000?I would do improvements around my house, continue to pay off debt including a second Master’s degree that I just earned in school administration. I would also donate some to worthy causes like St. Jude and March of Dimes and ministries. I have two college students so I’d definitely help them with schooling.
