A joy in feeling agency in choice, strong mind, values, and clarity of 'what matters'. The gentleness that has arrived in the place of fretting, the kindness that has been nurtured, the acceptance of my body (most days) - just as it was designed, the noticing of the small things, the deeper investment in nature, creating legacy and a deep caring for others. I love the connection found in other women - the support and holding of one another up. The opportunities that lie ahead and all I can do.
How do you stay fabulous?Releasing worries and thoughts that will not change something - the practice of stoicism (putting my energy into what I can have an impact on). Being curious and open-minded. Moving my body every single day (even if that is a set of squats in my attic office). Learning about wellness practices for mind, body and soul. Eating plant forward meals. Getting into nature every change I get. Surrounding myself with people who are kind. Drawing, writing, spending time with my children, family + animals.
What would you do with the $40,000?I will grow “Half Betty: Stories of Women, Legacy and Lifes' Second Scene". A podcast to start, a community and a movement in the future. Half Betty is inspired by pulling together women in their midlives to tell of their unique stories - the catalysts that occur for them, that others will relate to and find comfort in. This podcast will turn into an organization with resources, communities, mentorship programs, film, events, books supporting women.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
