There is a new kind of wisdom that comes after you turn 40. I have a clearer sense of who I am and what is important to me. I have the confidence to to embrace the things in my life that are serving me well and to let go of those that are not. The life experience I've gained in my 40's has given me new perspective. I've navigated divorce, the death of my mom, and sending kids off to college and to jobs in other countries. Every challenge has made me wiser and more resilient.
How do you stay fabulous?After devoting most of my attention to raising three kids for so many years, I now have the opportunity to focus on myself more. I work out regularly and have participated in Spartan races with my workout buddies. I prioritize the meaningful relationships in my life and I have an incredible group of friends with whom I share all kinds of adventures. I sing in a jazz band-singing is my therapy. And I love to travel-I'm always up for a trip to somewhere new!
What would you do with the $40,000?I would take my family on a trip. After my mom passed away last year, making memories with my kids, my partner, my dad and my siblings has become such a huge priority in my life. My dad's parents are from Italy and he has wanted to go and visit his brother there for many years. He has spent his life working to take care of his family and I would love the opportunity to give back to him something so special. I'd sock away whatever is left for a rainy day, as we all know they come without fail.
