I have really come into my own in my 40s. I say “no” to what doesn’t serve me or my family and “yes” to things that bring me joy. I’m confident, at peace and enjoying life in the present. After 23 years serving in the Army, I’m bounding into this next phase of my life with renewed purpose. I used to be afraid of aging, but now I’m so excited to see what’s next. The 40s really feel like a fresh start.
How do you stay fabulous?I love to move, and am focused on treating my body with kindness. I recently lost 60 lbs and I appreciate my body and all the things it can do so much. I take care of my skin, drink lots of water and dress by keeping comfort in mind as I settle into my style. Travel, reading and romanticizing my life keeps it ALL fabulous!
What would you do with the $40,000?I would donate some to the Army’s Chaplain’s Emergency Relief Fund which helps military families in need and some to sponsor dancers in need at my dance studio, Creative Dance Workshop. I’d invest some in retirement and take my incredible family on a vacation, because they have sacrificed a lot for me over the years, to include my military service. They deserve it.
